World Mission Sunday, Pope Francis

MISSION OFFICE

The Society for the Propagation of the Faith

Each year, the entire Church is invited to support the young mission dioceses in Africa, Asia, the Pacific Islands, and parts of Latin America and Europe, where priests, religious and lay leaders serve the poorest of the poor.

World Mission Sunday is celebrated every year in every country wherever there are Catholics committed to building a better world for all of God's people, a world where everyone has all they need to live a dignified and fulfilling life. It is the day on which we reflect on the urgency to proclaim the Gospel in our times and where the entire Catholic Church remembers her call to participate in God's Mission in the world.  Every parish celebrates so as to strengthen the international missionary call of all the faithful.

This year, we are invited to “Chat With The Pope” to learn more about his missions.  Through Facebook Messenger and MissioBot, you can CHAT about the life-saving work of the Pope’s missions around the world, PRAY for those they serve, and GIVE to support their continued success.  Have a computer or smartphone? You’re all packed for this missionary experience. Learn more at ChatWithThePope.org.
