St. Patrick Parish Pastoral Council Mission Statement:

As a body of the representatives of the people of God in St. Patrick Church, the mission of the Parish Pastoral Council is to provide a forum for the pastor to seek counsel from the parish community. In partnership with the pastor and staff, the Parish Pastoral Council is especially involved in coordinating and unifying the St. Patrick Parish community. In conjunction with the pastor, it assists in giving direction to the parish by focusing on the parish’s mission statement and organizing a plan to carry out that mission.

Parish Pastoral Council:

Our Parish Pastoral Council, along with our Pastor, serves our parish family.  The principal task of the Parish Council is to represent the entire parish in assessing parish needs and in developing plans for the future.  The Pastoral Council is advisory in nature.  The Council does not involve itself in the administration of the parish.  Nor does it directly supervise any of the ministries, activities or organizations within the parish community.  Members of the Parish Council are registered members of the parish, represent a cross section of the parish and are asked to make a strong commitment to work as a team to provide direction for our parish.  Members are asked:

 

• To have a long-term vision for the entire parish community

• To serve a three-year term

• To attend at least 80% of the meetings. The Council meets on the second Monday of the month from September to June.

• To bring ideas within the parish to achieve our plans for the future.

• Be a team of diverse individuals to represent entire parish
