Religious Education Program Information
St. Patrick Church is using the Loyola press "Christ Our Life" program starting this year. "Written by the Sisters of Notre Dame, the new 2016 edition of Christ Our Life fosters children’s love of God while providing a rich knowledge of our Catholic faith. Christ Our Life comprehensively presents the authentic teachings of the Catholic Church and is the only program aligned with the Church’s mission for a New Evangelization, the NCEA: IFG ACRE assessments, and the Six Tasks of Catechesis."
This program offers family resources and catechist resources online, which is a wonderful opportunity for everyone in our program.
We are still meeting 4:30 p.m. - 5:45 p.m. Monday or Tuesday. Please check the Religious Education calendar.
Basic elements of the faith are taught at all grade levels with emphasis on the above topics at specific levels. Our textbooks start with the basics of the faith and sacraments and grows with the students.
It is important for students to attend each year to receive a complete education in the basics of our faith. Spiritual growth as well as Christian community building are important aspects of each year. Each grade level also decides on a social outreach project to teach our students Catholic Social Teaching.
Please note that incoming 8th grade students are no longer part of the Religious Education program. All incoming 8th graders will be participating in the first year of our Confirmation program under our Youth Coordinator, Brandin Stoy. For more information about our Confirmation program please click here.
