“The Four Marian Dogmas”
February 28, 2018
7:00pm in the Community Room
This year, 2018, at St. Patrick’s Church we are celebrating a Marian Year.
We are dedicating this year to our Spiritual Mother; Jesus’ Mother, Mary. Come join your fellow parishioners and learn more about the Mother of God.
The four Marian dogmas are the Divine Motherhood, Mary's Perpetual Virginity, her Immaculate Conception, and her Assumption into heaven. Our discussion will include a definition of dogma; what they mean to the Church and what they mean for us as Catholic Believers. Each of the four Marian Dogmas will be discussed in detail. Information will be given as to when each Dogma was declared and why.
We will learn why May is known as Theotokos and Panagia in the Eastern Church and what these titles have to do with the Marian Dogmas. We will also discuss some of the Marian Apparitions and how they are connected to the Marian Dogmas.
Join us as we celebrate our Year of Mary!
