Marian Circle

Our Purpose
The Marian Circle has the goal of bringing everyone, including the Parishioners of St. Patrick’s church, closer to our spiritual mother, the Blessed Virgin Mary. We know that a close relationship with Mary, will draw us even closer to her son, Our Lord Jesus Christ.
We want our Rosary Holy Hours to create that sense of belonging to Mary as spiritual children, in the presence of her son in His Real Presence. The Holy Rosary is the beloved prayer of our dear mother and by offering this prayer in the Eucharistic Presence of her Son, we draw closer to both of them.
Our wish is to offer additional catechesis on the Blessed Virgin Mary to make her more accessible to a larger audience. This will include, but not be limited to monthly bulletin articles, monthly Rosary Holy Hours, access to books, prayers and other materials related to the Blessed Virgin Mary.
In addition, we will offer opportunities for interested individuals or groups to learn more about Consecration to the Blessed Virgin Mary, and to assist them in making a Consecration to the Blessed Virgin Mary.
The simple reality that we espouse is that the easiest way to draw closer to Our Lord, is to unite ourselves to Mary, His mother.
Our Profile
The commitment of the members of the Marian Circle is to bring to St. Patrick parishioners – and – others a greater appreciation of the divine Gift we have in the Blessed Virgin Mary as our mother. They:
-
Have an appreciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary as Mother of God and as our very mother, how she is a powerful intercessor on our behalf to her son Our Lord Jesus Christ.
-
Understand that our devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary, brings us closer to her son, Our Lord Jesus Christ.
-
Maintain a deep Marian prayer life, expressed by the daily recitation of the most Holy Rosary, attendance at daily Mass and special Rosary Holy Hours, use of sacramentals such as, the brown scapular and the miraculous medal.
-
Strive to live a “Marian” life in total devotion and imitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary and her son, Our Lord Jesus Christ. Also, by making a total consecration of themselves to the Blessed Virgin Mary.
-
Make reparation for the blasphemies against the Immaculate Heart of Mary by practicing the 5 First Saturdays, as asked for by her most Holy Son, Jesus Christ.
-
Share information re Mary with Marian Circle members. This could include articles for distribution to fellow parishioners through the Parish bulletin and website.
-
Have no illusions about the difficulty of bringing this Marian life to all Catholics and to be ready to “carry the cross” that this witness might bring.
