Religious Education

PREP, first grade through seventh, on Sunday mornings or Monday afternoons. Registration for the coming year is open.

What your child will do

PREP runs from first through seventh grade using the Christ Our Life curriculum from Loyola Press, with family resources available online.

First Holy Communion is prepared for inside the program, so you do not register separately for it. At eighth grade students move out of PREP and into the Confirmation program, which runs alongside youth ministry.

Pick whichever session fits your week. Both cover the same material.

“Let the children come to me, and do not prevent them; for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”
Matthew 19:14

Children’s Liturgy of the Word

During the Sunday 10:00 am Mass, for children from Pre-K through third grade.

The children are called forward, go out with a leader for about twenty minutes, and come back before the Liturgy of the Eucharist. In that time the day’s Gospel is explained at a level they can follow, with discussion, prayers, songs and plays.

No sign-up is needed. Bring your child to the 10:00 and they will be invited.

The parish is always short of leaders. Training and materials are provided and no experience is required; you can take a week a month or whatever fits.
