What happens at Mass
During the Sunday 10:00 am Mass, for children from Pre-K through third grade.
The children are called forward, go out with a leader for about twenty minutes, and come back before the Liturgy of the Eucharist. In that time the day’s Gospel is explained at a level they can follow, with discussion, prayers, songs and plays.
No sign-up is needed. Bring your child to the 10:00 and they will be invited.

The Children’s Mass, beginning October 4, 2026
Starting October 4, 2026, and on the first Sunday of every month, the 10:00 Mass is a Children’s Mass.
- Children are not dismissed during the Liturgy of the Word, so they hear Scripture in the setting of the Mass.
- Children are encouraged to bring a small donation, canned or boxed food, to give during the Offertory to help those in need.
- Children are given a guide to follow the parts of the Mass, to grow in their faith and their connection to the liturgy.
- On the other Sundays of the month, the children are dismissed as usual for a separate Children’s Liturgy of the Word.
How can I help?
The parish is always short of leaders. Training and materials are provided and no experience is required.
- Pray for the families and children who attend Mass.
- Volunteer with the Children’s Liturgy of the Word. Both adult leaders and teen aides are needed.
- Let us know if your children would like to serve as lectors, ushers or in other roles during the Children’s Mass.
- Spread the word to family and friends who may want to know more.
You can take a week a month, or whatever fits.
