How we prepare

Confirmation is a two-year preparation program beginning as early as 8th grade.

At St. Patrick’s, we believe Confirmation preparation is about far more than memorizing doctrine. It is about helping your teenager discover that their life has meaning, that they belong to a faith community, and that a relationship with Jesus is real and transformative.

That is why we have reimagined our Confirmation program around intentional small groups. Through consistent community, authentic mentorship, and a shared Rule of Life, your teen’s faith will deepen gradually and naturally before they make their public Confirmation commitment.

Which door is yours?

Teenagers are confirmed through the parish’s program in eighth and ninth grade, alongside youth ministry. Adults are confirmed through OCIA.

Children in first through seventh grade start in religious education, which leads straight into Confirmation preparation at eighth grade.
