What is Spiritual Life?
The simple, yet profound definition of the Spiritual Life in the Catholic Tradition is a life lived in a personal relationship with God, which gradually through His grace becomes deeper and deeper and deeper; It is the Holy Spirit at work within us, slowly transforming us into the unique people God created us to be. And in the process, this relationship also sheds light on our relationship with our fellow men and women, and with all creation. The spiritual life is real but finite participation and sharing in God’s life (grace). It is not identical with... but similar to God’s life.
The Spiritual Life Center has one goal: To provide parishioners of St. Patrick with the tools Holy Mother Church provides us to have a full and fruitful interior Trinitarian life (spiritual life brought forward in our daily lives). We intend to accomplish this goal by publishing articles in our parish bulletin, on our website and other social media... by offering a variety of resources including recommendations re conferences, speakers and websites and printed material that foster a greater understanding and appreciation of the spiritual life in our Catholic Tradition.
