“Faith doesn’t only mean believing with the head but also committing your heart and your life.” —Archbishop & Martyr Oscar Romero (El Salvador)
The Sacrament of Confirmation at St. Patrick Church St. Patrick Church celebrates the Sacrament of Confirmation in High School. The one year program starts in ninth grade. What is Confirmation? "Yes, Lord. I believe." At Baptism, your godparents spoke for you. Now it is your turn to say "Yes" to your faith and receive the strength of the Holy Spirit in the Sacrament of Confirmation. This beautiful step in faith is an outward sign that you will be open to the gifts of the Holy Spirit in order to be a true disciple of Christ. This commitment means that you are willing to continue to grow in your relationship with God, the Body of Christ and the Church.
“Human beings cannot know themselves until they have encountered God.” —Archbishop Oscar Romero
