Held at the 10:00 am Family Mass, Children’s Liturgy of the Word provides the children of our parish the opportunity to hear the Lord’s Word at their level.  The celebrations of these liturgies are intended to help form our children in the liturgical language of the Church, to nourish and guide their spiritual growth, and to immerse them in the Word in ways that are understandable to them.  Focusing primarily on the gospel reading of the week, the children hear the reading and then are led through a lesson using crafts, stories or other visuals.  These lessons are geared to kindergarten to third grade. Time is also focused on Prayers of the Faithful. Special lessons also are prepared for our two major seasons:  Advent and Lent.  

Adult leaders and adult or middle school to teen monitors are always in need.  Leaders are provided with lesson plans to use as a guide.  Monitors are there to provide order and support to the lesson.  Children’s Liturgy of the Word is held at the 10:00am mass three times per month.
