Rite of Christian Initiation of Teens

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Teens, or “RCIT,” is a process designed for High School teens interested in learning more about the Catholic Church or becoming Catholic.  It is a comprehensive process, involving study, discussion, spiritual direction, prayer, and reflection on the Scriptures.  This process typically runs one academic calendar year.

 The process is for:

·     Teens who have never received Baptism in any faith tradition

·     Teens who were baptized and/or received First Eucharist in the Catholic Church, but did not receive    further catechetical formation and are seeking to complete their initiation through the sacrament of Confirmation and Eucharist (if needed)

·     Teens who were baptized in another Christian tradition and now wish to come into full communion with the Catholic Church

What is the First Step?

If any teen who has felt the desire to discover Christ and what it means to be a Christian, please contact us or go to the brochure link on this website for more information.
