Beginning September 17, 2008, St. Patrick’s will begin the first session of Little Rock Scripture Study’s “Praying the Scriptures.”  Prayer is as mysterious as it is beautiful.  It should be the most natural of all human activities, and yet it is often experienced as very difficult.  It involves petitions, praise, gratitude, sacrifice, forgiveness, listening, and lamentation.  And it is everywhere in the Bible.  Our study will explore the always relevant ways God has transformed history and invites participation in them through praise, thanksgiving, and the many other ways Scripture teaches prayer.

This study will run six consecutive weeks beginning with a short introductory meeting on September 17, 2008, at 7:00 p.m.   We will meet in Conference Room #1 in the Ministry Center every Wednesday from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m.   There will be a charge of $10.95 for study guide and book.  To insure availability of study material, registration is required, hopefully, prior to September 9th, and can be done by calling the Ministry Center at 847-234-1401.  This course is open to everyone and will be facilitated by Brett Swearingen, our pastoral associate at St. Patrick’s.
